De la Mare Biography, 1955-1966.

The papers of this English professor and author include manuscript materials from McCrosson's biography of Walter De la Mare, published by Twayne in 1964. The collection includes earlier papers on fiction written bu De la Mare; her dissertation on De la Mare; early drafts of the book; the final corrected typescript; and four sets of page proofs, several with corrections. Holdings include correspondence with publishers and notes from several sources. There are also manuscripts evaluating De la Mare's fiction, including essays on "Memoirs of a Midget," "The Return," and "At First Sight."
